Joe Martone is a musician, composer, and educator living in Baltimore, MD.
Joe attended UMBC where he earned a BA in Music Composition and a Certificate in American Contemporary Music Composition.
During Joe’s 15 years of teaching he’s had many students pass All-County, All-State, and university music program auditions. Many form their own bands and some become teachers themselves! But most importantly, his students develop an appreciation for the arts and learn the skills to confidently express themselves and inspire others through music.
As an educator, Joe strives to discover the best teaching strategies for each of his students, to refine his craft through continuing education and research, and to provide a curriculum where success is guarunteed!
Joe brings to his lessons the extensive knowledge he’s gained as an in-demand performing, touring, and recording artist. He’s performed for over 20 years, has toured throughout the country, and currently plays with a number of groups in the Baltimore/DC area ranging in styles from rock and pop to jazz and folk music.
When he’s not performing or teaching you’ll find him strumming his uke on the front porch, gardening, bicycling, or just enjoying a good coffee!
